Pirastro Obligato Violin Strings

Obligato are synthetic-core strings which deliver a warm, full, focused tone with rich overtones, broad dynamics, easy response, strong volume, reliable tuning, and resistance to temperature and humidity changes. Available in medium gauge only. Pirastro has discontinued the Weich and Stark gauges of Obligato Violin Strings. The standard set contains the Gold E, Aluminum A, Silver D and Silver G. Obligato are made for small Violins, making them one of the few choices of professional quality strings for fractional-size instruments.

Optional strings (4/4 only): Regular steel E for a typical tone and response. Chrome wound A: impervious to hand perspiration, brighter sound than the Aluminum A. Aluminum D for thicker gauge and broader tone shape
