The
High Tech series of cases are the popular
choices made by Bam. High Tech Series cases are made with a shell of 3 layers. The inner and outer layer are ABS plastic and the core is Airex foam. This makes for a very strong but light sandwich of materials. Airex is also very good at thermal protection. The Slim and Contoured models
in particular appeal to players that want a light
case that still offers practical interior storage
for accessories like the shoulder rest. Most
of all, these smaller models actually offer more
protection. Oblong cases have corners, and longer
spans for the material go, which makes them inherently
weaker than a small case with smooth contours.
Limited edition colors come and go. People still
email to ask about colors that have not been
available for years so don't wait if you want
certain color of the case. Availability
of all these cases varies. Please contact us

colors. Interiors are all Carbon Gray. Backpack

cases, made with the foam/plastic type shell.
They are lightweight and offer good thermal protection,
but they do not offer the rigid type of strength
of other case designs. For everyday use, these
cases are more than adequate, but in an event
where the case is crushed, it is easily compressed
causing damage of the instrument. Consider
these cases as having protection similar to a
padded bag for Cello or Bass. All cases have
backpack straps and exterior pocket for music. |
