Thomastik-Infeld offers some of the most succesful string brands. Spirocore was a big succes, so much that it defined what a string should sound like for all other products. Made in Vienna, Austria, the unofficial capitol of classical music.

Spirocore Steel spiral core string. Quick response from the bow. Brighter, more present tone. The STungsten G and C strings are still the most widely used among professionals after decades since introduction. Long-lastring strings. Made in all sizes. The popularity, quality, and value make the Spirocore Tungsten G and C a Star Performer.

Bel Canto & Bel Canto Gold This is a hybrid set, meaning the A and D are solid steel core, and the G and C are rope Core. Slighly. The Gold version of these strings are actually gold in color and have s slightly rounder focus to the sound. For 4/4 only.

Superflexible Steel rope core string. Durable, with less stiffness compared to solid core steel strings. These are good on a budget. 4/4 size only.

Precision Solid steel core string appeals to student instrument application. Quick response, durable and bright. Produced since the 1920's and improved continuously since. 4/4 Only.

Dominant Perlon (Nylon) core strings. This type of construction is not the popular choice. However, the G and C are good alternatives to Gut strings on Cellos that are very responsive. Available in all sizes.
