The influence for the Three Cord Strand Koa Tenor ukulele came by incorporating the Cord of Three Strands concept found in Ecclesiastes 4:12 with Art Deco style. The crux of the concept is a strength achieved through unity, manifested here in the Three Cord marquetry of Koa, Purpleheart, and Maple. They are further distinguished by the sharpness of the Florentine cutaway. Each comes in a black alligator archtop hard case with a crushed velvet interior and includes a D’Addario Humidifier Pro.
Kala KOA-T-POI Luthier Series Tenor POI Pounder
Inspired by the traditional Hawaiian pestle used to pound taro root into poi paste, the Poi Pounder Series is made from the finest Hawaiian Koa. The Koa features the fullest and widest curling of any model we offer, hand-selected by our passionate luthiers. The binding and inlay are made from African Padauk, while the rosette is a Padauk / Koa swirl. The striking Poi Pounder-shaped end graft highlights the beautiful, reserved padauk trim. Kala MHG-TG-SP Elite Tenor Salt & Pepper Doghair Mahogany Model
The newest addition to the Doghair Collection is the Salt and Pepper Doghair Elite. Designed as an homage to Collings Doghair guitars, the Mahogany gets a color spray before filling the grains, which is then sealed and glossed, producing the sleek Salt and Pepper finish.
