Position: Director, Music Outreach Program
Requirements: Master of Music Education or its equivalent
Duties: Plan, develop, organize, and direct music outreach programs including community string music events and music classes.Maintain and develop outreach communication with colleges/universities, high schools, and other educaitonal institutions, as well sa youth orchestras and community organizations of music programs, coordinate and execute string instrument presentations and demonstrations, and develop effective and creative ways to promote string instrument awareness. Select vocal, instrumental, and recorded music suitable to type of programs and community events. Instruct group rehearsals, lead and conduct studio orchestra at community events. Design string instrument lessons to individual and group students and oversee the operation of teaching studios. Evaluate company outreach programs, supervise and maintain the outreach budget, and report to the management. Work with management to develop new partnerships, music programs and community music events.
